Sentry UV Sterilizers come with a specially coated lamp, designed to extend lamp life and effectiveness. The Sentry UV lamp has a lamp life to 9,000 hours, which is 4,000 hours beyond ordinary bulbs. Lamps can last up to 2 pond seasons without having to change the bulb under normal circumstances.
The thermically sensitive electronic ballast gives your UV lamp longer life by automatically shutting down when it becomes too hot, preventing damage to both the lamp and the unit. It also features a new LED sensor, which alerts you when your lamps is out and you need to change your lamp.
